I have had the good fortune of being invited to hunt in Ontario for the past 6 years at a remote deer camp run by a friends dad . Well im not sure the Canadian travel ban will be lifted by this falls trip and time to secure a good hunt is running out so I had to make the hard decision to make other plans. Ive decided to book a hunt in North west Missouri just south of the Iowa border with a outfitter for the first week of November. Ill be arriving at the lodge on Oct 30 and hunt 31st thru the 5th. Any body from that area on here ? Hows the timing of rut for that area? any info on what to expect would be greatly apricated.
Google rutcast Watched a lot of Midwest Whitetail over the years and they hunt that general area pretty hard- seems to me peak rut is second week of November which would put you in pre-rut chasing phase. Pretty good time to be in the woods esp. if a cold front comes through
You're going to be here during my favorite time for bow hunting and yes it is pre rut like dnoodles said. Typically hot action and you should have a blast. Best of luck! Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
