My wife has the 2011 PSE Chaos FC. Her draw length was too short, we took it to a bow man to replace the damaged strings/cables and to add a cable slide to it (I dry fired it a long time ago accidentally, and she dropped it and we had to get it fixed). First question is this, I heard those cams do not require a bow press to change the draw length for up to like 5 inches...does anyone have experience how to tune her draw length? It's on 23 inches and it could be on about 24 inches, maybe 25 inches. Edit: I'll upload a pic of her bringing her drawing her bow back and see if anyone thinks the draw length is too short, I know I do.
found this The inner cam system allows draw length adjustments over a prescribed range without putting the bow in a bowpress. There are two types of inner cam systems: discrete setting inner cams and fully adjustable inner cams. Discrete setting inner cams have the adjustment screws going through a specific hole in the inner cam and threading into the cam. The screws need to be completely removed to make adjustments. The “A” setting is the longest draw length for that bow and draw lengths get shorter as you progress down the alphabet (A to B, B to C, etc.) Fully adjustable inner cams have the adjustment screws sliding in a track. This allows for a half inch setting on the inner cam. To make adjustments, loosen both of the adjustment screws (screws with the lock washers) 2 full turns. Rotate the inner cam until the 3 marks (one on the inner cam, one on each side of the inner cam slot) are aligned with one another. A straight edge can help to accurately set the alignment. The “A” setting is the longest full inch draw length for that bow (there may be a half inch setting longer than “A”) and draw lengths get shorter as you progress down the alphabet (A to B, B to C, etc.) In cases where there is an inner cam on both the top and bottom cam, both cams must be set in the same letter position for the bow to tune and shoot properly. In cases where there is a separate draw stop, the draw stop must be moved to the hole marked with the letter corresponding to the inner cam setting
Thank you. Great read. I'm not sure which type inner cam system the Chaos has. http://www.qualityarcherybows.com/product/1008-PSE-Chaos-FC-Compound-Bow Maybe some of the more experienced archers in here could tell me if that would be the discrete or fully adjustable inner cam system?
