http://www.abc27.com/story/20403454/pa-trooper-wounded-in-shooting-near-altoona What are your thoughts? This becoming an increasing problem, or is the media just jumping any and every shooting given the circumstances? I know that last question is an awful statement to make, but what are your thoughts? Either way, it sounds like these victims were just random as well.
Over 2500 people have been shot in Chicago this year.... But over 2000 is completely normal. The media does pick and choose which stories to run with. Even better if they can push an agenda. But it seems like more people are snapping. The economy? The chemicals they eat and medicate themselves with? Being raised with an entitlement mindset? (and a gazillion other variables) False flag operations? (heh heh heh)
This happened about an hour from here. Sounds like the guy snapped and it was a personal thing. Who knows. I think the media is foaming at the mouth for this stuff because its "good publicity" and it caters to the anti-gun idiots out there. This area is close to Altoona, which sees a few homicides and gang related shootouts every year. Not ONE of those ever made CNN front page.
That was what struck me as odd. I've been there several times. Not the normal town to make national news...even for a shooting. Yeah saw that they updated the article about the neighbors after I posted. Still seems odd he targeted the church and actually walked in.
Me and my wife were just thinking that this morning. On any given day someone is getting shot somewhere in this country. So there isn't a shortage of material for the media to cover. The media should be pushing "good will towards men" this time of year if not always but unfortunately it's all about ratings. Oh wait, ratings and fear.
The media does that all the time. If a bus flips over and kills a bunch of people, they'll find bus wreaks all over the world for the next few weeks to talk about.
