This all the way. Send all the conference champions into a playoff system and let the champion come out that way.

We'll have to agree to disagree on that.

I agree with this. Its really the only way to habe a some what decent playoff. Even with the system they're switching to there's too much influence from voters. At least with getting one from every conference champ its decided by the teams and play on field.

If we had a playoff, what would you guys have to complain about when the SEC wins the NC year after year after year after year...?

I'm assuming the #1 complaint from the Big 10 guys would probably be:

"All the games are played in warm weather. Come up here and play in real football weather."

It is fact that all the games would probably be played in warm weather, but it is not a fact that cold weather is somehow "football weather"

True. It is nice though that a high percentage of bowl games are played in SEC backyard where B1G teams have to travel a great distance. How much of a difference it makes I have no idea.

Just further proof that the South is better than the Midwest.

The cesspool south will never be better than the midwest. Ever! There I said it. :)

Out west (minus California). That is a different story.

OSU is not on the same level as the other 3. I do think Bama is the most complete team.... But FSU and Oregon both look very scary. I'd love to see Bama FSU but if Oregon goes unscathed they will get the bid IMO. PAC 12 is stronger and voters have wanted an Oregon appearance for years now and Oregon always screws it up late in the season.

The voters got Oregon in 2010.

And every year since they have been the main headline of talk of who will take down the sec this year and they always lose late season to drop the ball. I think Bama is the best team, but man would an Oregon and FSU matchup be fun to watch. It may happen, cause as you pointed out Bama still has to get through Auburn, LSU, and likely Mizzou.

How fun would a 4 team playoff be this year with these 4 teams?

    meh

It wouldn't be fun to watch OSU get destroyed again on national TV.
