Not sure what you are talking about...

Mizzou was horrid last year. And has had success in the Big 12 before. Texas A&M just lucked into getting the best football player in the country, yet they still haven't placed better than 3rd in their division.

And any reasonable SEC fan (*cringe) will tell you that the SEC is down this year.

And the SEC gets hype because it was won the BCSNC 7 years in a row.

Because one of their two elite teams won. IF you look at the SEC it's about Saban, how many of those wins came from Saban teams? 5?

    1 - Auburn - Chizik
    2 - Florida - Meyer

Who's players did LSU have win they won? Saban's correct? Also if you look at Florida and AU they both had the best College FB player that year.

    So I would say 4 were Saban's

And this, imo is the whole issue with college football. It's also the main reason I just can't get into college football.

The best teams should be playing for a national championship period.

LOL I guess Saban recruited them, but they were 3 years removed from Saban, and were never really coached by Saban. But yeah, let's completely discredit Miles for his job.

Tebow wasn't the starter for Florida's 1st. He might have got 10 snaps a game that year.

I still don't get what point you're trying to make? I simply stated why the SEC is hyped every year. It's because they have won 7 MNCs in a row. I guess you could try and discredit each one of them somehow, but I was just stating facts.

1 game playoffs rarely result in the best teams winning the championship

Exactly, but if you have a playoff situation. (Real playoffs) They all have an opportunity to be playing for it. Not a political based system like they have now.

Hell, even division 2 has figured this out.

The problem is who determines who is the best? Shouldn’t a team that has not lost a game yet get the nod over a team that has lost a game? Of course the playoff system takes all of that out and it is settled on the field.

For example, if my Badgers went undefeated this year there is no way we would of made it to the NC game. How is that right? So in other words we never had a chance from the beginning no matter how good the team is. That sucks balls.

Look at Boise a few years ago that didn't lose a game but had no chance at the title. Maybe they could of won it and maybe not. We will never know.

Star qb goes down for the best team in the country in the first game and doesn't return until the 3rd game. Meanwhile, they lose 2 games and destroy every team for the rest of the season.

No chance for a national championship, even though they are the best team.

There will always be teams left out in any system but at least make the damn effort and get the politics out if it.

    Carry on

You discredit Texas A & M because they had the best football player, Florida and AU both won NC because they had the best FB player that year.

Recruiting is a huge part of winning a NC, how many has Les won with "his" players? The SEC run has more to do with Saban is my point.

    Imo, no

Look what happened to osu a few years ago. They were demolished and there were several teams better.

Playoff system, they get beat early and we have a much better championship game.

When you have 117 teams and only play 12 games its hard to not punish teams for losses no matter the circumstances. I get what you are saying but you have to have a way to widdle down the number of teams that get into the playoffs somehow. If those first few games don't matter you really would have a cluster at the end of the season with every team making the claim they are playing the best football at that time.

My position has been all along that every conference sends a representative to the playoffs. You have to win your conference. If you can’t win your conference you are not NC worthy. That way every team has a chance at least including the mid majors. Nobody can ***** they got left out. Win your conference and you are in. Don’t win your conference and you are out. Simple. Notre Dame can suck it and join a conference.

I didn't discredit A&M for having the best player. I simply stated that is why they are better now than they were 2 years ago in the Big 12. They now have the best player in CFB. And yet, they still can't place better than 3rd in their own division.

The SEC has also went 12-3 over this run in BCS bowl games.

But yeah, let's discredit the SEC has a whole and say it's just been Saban.

What are they overall in bowl games during the same stretch? The conference is more than just the BCS record. I don't know but want to know.

Just remember. Bret Bielema didn't go to Arkansas to play Alabama. He went there to beat Alabama.

Many ways it can be done. D2 does it.

    Atleast make the effort.

I think there should be 16 teams. 4 games to win it all.

There could be more or less. Add a bye system for the top 4 or something to that effect. That would allow more in for the chance.

Anything but what they have now or what they are going to.

I like the BCS. More times than not, the 2 best teams played, and the best team won.

In single elimination playoffs, more times than not, the best teams do not win.
