"SEC Live" had Mizzou ahead of Tennessee.... Can you believe it? I am thinking no waaaay but we'll see how well Mizz handles the grueling SEC scheduling. At least they are in the East... that may help some... a little softer IMO.
I'd believe it but don't agree. The national media isn't giving UT much respect right now which is understandable after the last couple of seasons. My personal opinion based on what I've read about the summer and fall camps makes me think UT will surprise some people this year. As for the East vs the West, I agree the East is (and has been for a little while now) the weaker division.
I don't know... maybe that is why they have security circling the field every afternoon to keep us from watching practice. Too provocative for weak minds I guess.
Tennessee will be better than last year, but I think we still finish 3rd in the east. Mizzou will shock some in the SEC.
GA and SC will lead the East by a wide margin. The gap from them to the third team is substantial, regardless if the third team ends up winning more than expected.
I wouldn't go that far. UF almost beat both teams last year trying to run a power run game with an Olympic sprinter and Chris Rainey. All the while the entire offense was being run from the pistol because Johnny Brantley hurt his ankle and couldn't go under center. Florida has a top 5 defense and top 5 special teams. If they can get ANY offensive production out of whoever they pick at QB (I personally like Brissett), and just one receiver catches more than 20 balls this year, then I'd pick them to represent the East in Atlanta. That being said, they still might click offensively, still have a top 5 D and lose as many games as they lost last year. But to say UGA and SC are that far ahead of UF just isn't the case.
I'm with you Cody on that East gap. I'm not so sure UT, UF and Mizzou are that far behind UGA and USCe. Also we are only an hour away from the kickoff of the college football season!!
USC light is going to smash vandy. Lots of Georgia boys thinking different, but there hate for the cocks is outweighing their smarts. So close to michigan/Bama...
I think UT could win the East, but with their recent history I just can't call for it until I see them play. #1 Georgia #2 Tennessee #3 Florida #4 Mizzo #5 South Carolina #6 Candy #7 Kentucky Of course my glasses are pretty orange tinted so I'm not sure if its just optimism on my part from all the hype out of Knoxville or if UT has actually taken a step forward.
