Is there any fellow hunters in central valley California? Recently moved here and got my hunters safety course done.

I'm from up near the Oregon border. There's some decent hog and deer hunting around Bakersfield. Where in the valley are you?

I'm about an hour north of Bakersfield, Visalia, Ca. I herd about the hog hunting not much about deer. One of the other issues I'm having is finding the places to hunt since its all private property due to the high value farming land.

I worked in Goshen and porterville for about a year. There is about 150 acres of BLM land up near Three Rivers. Look at it online to figure out directions. I killed 1 hog up there but there is alot of hikers and mtn bikers. I went on a rainy day and nobody was up there. I can't remember where I found out about the place but check the BLM website.

If there are hogs and high value crops in the same area seems like asking a farmer for permission would be a sure bet to get on there land. Those things wreck havoc on crops!

There is some awesome hog hunting around lake sonoma near Santa Rosa. Fish and game has details of the area. Open hunt days are wed-sun I think.
