OMG!!! You posted info from the Witch Doctor!!!

In all seriousness Dr. Mercola has saved my wife from the hell that is Hashimoto Thyroid Disorder. Many discount him in the Medical Community but he has some great knowledge on natural medications while also posting a lot about the hazards of modern things like Fluoride in water. I take a couple of supplements for joint swelling that he recommended and they have been life changers. My wife is also friends with his GF Erin Elizabeth. They have been a great asset in helping us with dog rescue and finding homes for dogs.

LOL Witchdoctor :D. I don't really know anything about him but a buddy, whom I trust, forwarded me an email (I guess my buddy has subscribed to his list) and I read the link on flouride. Anyway, I read it and it made some sense to me so I thought I would post it here for the others with kids.

While I don't subscribe to any lists or such about the hazards of modern things, I think there are many things in our modern world, especially in our modern food supply, that will harm us. That is one of the main reasons I am working to becoming self reliant, especially in the food production areas.

Glad he has helped you with your joint swelling. Life is much better when the hinges bend without pain [IMG]

I'd love to read the article but I can't get a stupid pop up ad closed. It is covering the article. Could someone copy and paste here?

Most people are aware that excess flouride causes tooth discoloration. In some areas, in the southwest part of the country if I recall correctly, excess flouride occurs natually in the well water. Although the people have discolored teeth, they have very few cavities.

Here is a link to some actual FACTS about flouride.

The link wasn't working because I forgot to enter it in my post. Try again. It's info from the CDC.

The levels of flouride that they add to city water won't affect you.

Our city water is well water, but it's from the Saginaw aquifer. There's no natural flouride in it, so the city adds it.

I thought the underlined word was the link.

I read the link, doesn't really say anything different than what the witch doctor said.

I think we'll stick with less sugar in the diet and more attention to brushing and flossing for my child's better oral health.

Well, no it's not the same. The Witch Doctor's blurb says the CDC advises against flouride which isn't really true. The CDC link merely points out that excess flouride can cause flourosis in children and advises that you get your well water tested.

As I mentioned, the city adds flouride to our city water, which is well water. There are of course the wackoes who claim it is an insidious plot to turn us all into blithering idiots.

Hmmm, now that I think about it, maybe that would explain why people in cities tend to vote Democrat.

This is the witch dr's blurb:
Perhaps the government should add vitamins to the water also since they think that is best for us also. Since they are the government they would not make any mistakes and give people too much.

I was under the impression that people that voted the democratic ticket wanted government to take care of them.

There will ALWAYS be new discoveries in which a previously perceived harmless everyday item is now deemed harmful. I'm just waiting for the asbestos equivalent discovery for our generation.

I had regular fluoride treatments growing up, and continue to use fluoride toothpaste and mouth wash. Teeth are doing quite well, but it certainly makes me think twice.

I drank Well water until I was 17 and then started on the Fluorinated Plan. Never had a cavity until 5 years ago and haven't since. Can't say that the Fluoride covered me the first 17 years. I for one am tired of big government shoving stuff into our bodies while threatening to regulate natural supplements.
