There are a few stands that I hunt that are near cattle pastures. Has anyone tried hanging some hunting clothes (not carbon) in a barn with cattle and then worn that clothes in the stand? It seems like if I took a scent free shower, that the cattle odor would be a great cover scent.

I have intentionally walked through cow S#%+ on the way in to cover my boot scent.

I would be careful with that approach, especially if you have stands that aren't near the cattle. I've seen deer spook when they cut my tracks & smelled sheep, when there shouldn't have been any sheep in the woods.

I have hung around my buddys dairy farm while he was milking, wearing my hunting boots, then hunted a spot where there wasn't any cattle a few days later. The deer crossed my path and acted as if it were completely normal. It is a good tactic.

Me too. Many times, in fact, and never had a problem.

We have cattle on almost all of the pastures we hunt they seem used to the smell.
