I wounded a good buck on October 19th as most on here know. I haven't given up on this buck In the least, I'm still hunting him alone like I was when I started hunting him October 15th. I've saw him twice since then, once about 14 days or so after I wounded him and the other was this evening. I've also got 2 different trail cam pics of him since I wounded him. This morning I went and hunted the SW yellow dot on the picture being I had a SE wind. I have a mock scrape there also with a camera on It. I didn't see nothing this morning but when I got down I pulled the card out of the camera to check It and sure enough he was there at 4:50 this morning heading SE. I thought great, he's back and still alive being no one hasn't shot him yet (our gun season Is going on right now). This evening I hunted the next yellow dot to the NE thinking he was bedding either SW or east of where I was hunting this evening In the cattails/grass. Sure enough he was bedded some where west of me when all of a sudden he appeared from the west In the cattails/grass chasing around a doe that was down wind of me feeding for the last 45 minutes. He then came by at 18 yards or so trotting nice and easy behind the doe but It was to dark again to shoot. He then headed east with the doe headed for another stand that Is east of where I hunted tonight. Tomorrow morning I plan on going there If the wind holds north and It don't rain to hard. I might even try an all dayer, we'll see I guess. The very top yellow dot that's circled Is where I wounded him and then seen him 2 weeks later.

I hope you get him, Steve. That would be cool to get the same buck you messed up on earlier. Second chances like that are rare, making it that much sweeter when you do connect.

    Good luck.

Easy, big guy. Just keep playing the sneaky cat until it's time to pounce. You know as well as I, that if you rush it, it ain't gonna be pretty. Do what you know to do Steve, and how you know to do it. You will get him. I have all the confidence in the world in you bud.:D

Good luck. Sounds like you have it together. Tough to target one particular buck, especially around this time of year, don't you think?

None have been pics, all have been video's. The SOB never walks by showing his right side, he always walks by showing his left side. The right side Is where I hit him.

Steve, what is that on the south side, a lake, swamp? ow much woods is there from the middle stand to the field corner to the north? Is there any terrain features in the area?

I guess I'd like to see that middle stand more north, to give up some of the edge and cover more woods.

Either way, good luck, this will truely be one to remember whe you tag him!
