I guess that piece of crap found out life in prison wasn't going to be like he expected. May he rot in hell.
Good deal, less tax payer money wasted on trash. I wish there was more of this. Perhaps they should provide a complimentary noose in each cell.
His lawyers are now claiming that the family is considering suing because the prison did not protect him from himself??? Should society sue his family for not protecting us from him?
He should of got the death penalty in the first place. It is a better world today without this creep.
They should start letting criminals loose on a island and then have limited hunts for people.......... JK of course
Executing all of the people currently on death row, or waiting for them to die there of other causes, will cost an estimated $4 billion more per state than if they had been sentenced to die in prison of disease, injury, or old age; Death row should consist of a meal right after trial, a short walk, and a bullet. These people aren't worth the money we waste on them.
I have nothing against the death penalty and I'm all for it but you do realize that many people have been released from death row after being found not guilty after new evidence is presented or found. I do think we stretch it out for too long in many cases but we have to be sure the system is working and punishing the guilty. As for Castro, just saved the taxpayers a load of money. Five years to prepare an appeal at the state level; 3 years to prepare the federal appeals court appeal; 2 years for SCOTUS appeal; then to meet their maker.
I realize this. It is an unfortunate flaw to our trial system that innocent people get convicted. However, that number is nearly infinitesimal and I'm willing to pay any family of a unjust execution restitution for the remainder of what would have been the average life span of said individual. It would be a billion times cheaper, since it doesn't happen that often.
He deserved much worse but as mentioned, saves us taxpayers some dough now! I'm sure he has a special spot picked out for him in Hell
That won't do the wrongfully convicted any good.:what: There is an appeal process for a good reason. Yes, it gets abused but in a free country, it can NOT be abolished. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
Damn. He got off too easy then. He should have been beat to a pulp and punished by other inmates every day for the remainder of his life.
There are some cases where there should be no appeals allowed. In cases where there are multiple eye-witnesses or in cases where the evidence is irrefutable. Take the Aurora shooter for example. There's no question as to whether or not he committed the crime, right? In my humble opinion, why he did it or if he's mentally competent doesn't matter in the least. In those cases, I agree with Cablebob, except I'd omit the last meal and, like in the movie Starship Troopers, the execution should be televised on primetime television. All channels. It would be interesting to see what affect that had on crime.
