Well yesterday I made the decision .. whether to go shoot Carp or look for early Central Illinois Morels. The Morels won ~ and I even found a few new Morel Spots They are just starting to pop up in Vermillion, Champaign, Piatt and Dewitt Counties. Ill hit the carp this weekend after shroom hunting. Here is a couple of morels just poppong up
Carp fight harder. Maybe I'll look for some while I'm down at Rend. I wish you were coming down there. With both you and Ken down there, we'd be guaranteed to have cold, wind and no fish. (Yes, Ken is going to go down there, less than two weeks after having his leg filleted open!)

Ya know, I forgot all about my curse.. thanks for reminding me... looks like youre gonna get the cold and wind anyways... blame it on Ken Crick. I Dip my Morels in beaten egg with a little bit of milk , then crush corn flakes in a gallon zip loc bag and crush the flakes with a wooden rolling pin and dip morels in crushed corn flakes , then fryup in butter and then sprinkle with a touch of garlic salt. Then eat and gain 5 pounds. Yep taste way better than carp
I'm always here for you Deb. Even if it's just to remind you of your curse. Kendall left with the pontoon boat about a little bit ago. Too bad he's going against the wind. If it were a north wind, he could have put a sail on the boat and let it push him down to Rend. It will be interesting to see how many fish will take to win the tourny with this weather. Save me a mushroom or two!

found a quick 35 behind the house tonight.......... dark sponges of course, not carp you silly goose. Looks to be a much better shroom season than last year.
