I will try anything. But I do not do carbs and sugars I eat clean no fast food no junk food. I get physically ill if I eat fatty meat or anything deep fried.

I know you believe that. But after a many year back injury. I gained serious weight. When I was able to actually walk up right...literally was crawling on my hands and knees to get around the house. Slept in a recliner for a couple of years. Any how the Dr tried everything and the weight would not come off . Mind you I was still a work aholic and at one point raising 2 little ones by my self when hubby was in Calorado working a couple of years.
It was not until the Dr said I was becoming g insulin resistant just watch my carbs did things change. I said no problem and stopped all carbs save the few in veggies and berries.
Now to this I started eating WAY MORE than I ever had. I mean lunch and dinner were huge. I still eat my daily salads out of a mixing bowl. I dropped 30#' the first month. No BP meds, no waking up sophicating mid night with sinus. I still e a t more now just in one sometimes two meals.
It has everything to do with what an individual system tolerates and processes. AMERICANS HAVE BEEN LIED TOO FOR DECADES. It's all about $$$$$$$ nothing to do with health Dr.s know this

Kudos @Tony for losing the weight. I think carnivore is really similar to taking Keto to the next level...and likely explains the weight loss...weightloss leading to snoring...and perhaps better sleep. It has to be an incredible temptation given your wife's business to avoid snacks.

Dairy and sugar along with perhaps some other inflammatory foods being cut = less aches and pains.

Similar to my results a few years back...though I will offer one additional thought...especially if you have family history of guy cancers, this would be a factor to consider a modified diet similar to keto/whole 30/etc, where you can get sufficient fiber in the diet while avoiding refined/processed foods, sugars or other troublesome foods.

Fiber is not needed in the proper human diet… it scrapes and scars your intestines… it causes pockets in them as well (diverticulitis) which can become enflamed and infected. It can cause IBS…

Or you can believe the bullshit that has been fed you by improperly taught doctors that treat symptoms and not the cause and are in bed with big pharma… your choice…

    30 days… what’s the harm?

Dang this thread took quite a different direction than I would've thought. Everyone is different and reacts as differently to lots of dietary experiments or disciplines. I will say that it is extremely difficult for most people to deviate from what they've been taught is good for them, what they are used to and what is available to them (or can afford). It's complex, but that doesn't mean one should be dismissive of others and other approaches to health. Also applies to other aspects of life, but I digress.

Also, if someone wants to stick with what works or is perceived to work, ok. More power to you. I won't even begin to get into the industry dollar side of our standard diet. I've already doubled my normal post size and it is tiresome.

Although I'm happy for your results and I'm sure it's a great diet the key to life IMO is getting to where you don't need a Diet and that seems to be eating in moderation and diversely. Cleansing yourself using carnivore seems like a cool idea and diet , one in fact I might try for a month or so but please do not disregard caloric intake as a matrix to success. People have had success with a huge array of fad diets. Only later to be found as detrimental. I'll hit you up offline to hear more though. I am intrigued.

I shouldn’t have came here. On my way to the local brewery for super nachos and 5 to 9 beers. I’m the prime example on what not to do, but I’ll have fun. I would love to try the carnivore diet maybe after hunting season.

Fix, we met… probably will hook up sometime this year as well.. you will be impressed with the weight loss, but that is the least of what’s happening to me

If you all research it, you will find a ton of doctors that have been doing it for years, some decades….

I posted this because this is the first woe I’ve done that is curing my entire body… forget the weight loss… it’s the metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance, aches and pains… and on and on… and I am completely in control and I do not want the foods I thought I couldn’t live without before. I’m stronger, Hell even my piss stream is getting stronger as well as other things

You don’t need plants, seed oils, sugars, even fruits… research it… you will be blown away

Increasing fat and protein in my diet has helped me a lot over the past 2 months. I've lost at least 10lbs in 2 months. Straight flab. Gums aren't bleeding anymore. Overwhelming sugar cravings majorly reduced. Joints feel better.

I go like 15 to 16 hrs with maybe one egg and bacon for breakfast. 9pm to noon with minimal calories and maybe a couple grams of carbs. Been working and will stick with it.

There is a difference between a fad diet and a life style change. There is also a huge difference between eliminating things from a diet and researching what needs to go with the elimination. Things like vitamins, minerals, salts. Also when to eat makes a difference. Thankfully All my life I could never eat breakfast. When my mother forced me by 10 a.m. I'd be in the nurses office sicker than a dog because I was starving. No breakfast and I'm good to go until 2 or 3p.m. , seriously cereals should have warning labels like cigarettes

BTW It's " loving it on Keto with Wendy" they have a different way of doing things with their own personal monthly meal plan.where they alternate carnivore and keto, high fat and or protein and lower. Works for them.
