    Livn the dream!
Had a # of bear burger today. My best friend raises cattle and is a meat eatn s.o.b. he's been diving into my bear stash and said he likes it better than his own beef.

I eat lots of meat but feel a bit Lathargic if I don't get some bread, veggies.

    Day 5 recap

    Breakfast:
3 eggs scrambled, half pot of coffee w/ honey

    work

    no lunch

    home from work

had to run a bunch of errands (ie go buy a bunch of ice fishing gear) so no time to work out

    weigh in at 216

    Dinner:
    smoked chicken and smoked turkey.

I said I'd admit when I cheat- last night I was out of whiskey and I had a white Russian instead. But just one.
Then tonight I had some mustard sauce with the smoked turkey b/c it was a little dry. "Some" being maybe 2 tablespoons worth.

    Day 6 (Saturday) recap-
more grilled chicken, didn't work out or weigh in. 2 whiskey nightcaps

    Day 7 (Sunday) recap-
I went ice fishing, so it was my first serious falling off of the proverbial wagon...I ate mostly right- some kind of polish hunters stew with smoked sausages, but it had mushrooms, carrots, onions and cabbage in it so not exactly carnivore...almost paleo, though.

Dinner was grilled venison and pheasant wrapped in bacon....but I had about 6 beers over the course of the day. Oh well...I also didn't work out.

    Day 8 (Monday)
Venison roast dry rubbed in Chipotle spices, lifted arms and shoulders. Weighed in at 219

    Today-

Weighed in this AM at 216. Running late to work so only grabbed a cup of coffee out the door. Had grilled chicken cubes for lunch. As I was running late, didn't have time to take meat out of freezer. Had to stop at store-

    Tonight's menu:

oh, yeah, not working out tonight. But I will hit the bike in the AM.

One thing that might help with forgetting to put meat out to thaw is an Instant pot. You never have to worry about thawing meat again. You can go from frozen solid to fully cooked in less than 30 minutes.

yessir; I have one. I like it. (My wife is obsessed with it.) But I pretty much only have steaks, chops, and ground venison left. Other than roasts; I like my meat seared.

not to get Sota "Shart-nasty"; but oddly enough the change in diet hasn't really made much of a difference in the bathroom.
Although Sunday (cheat day) my guts did not know what to do with themselves. They chose to pull the pin on a grenade and run for the hills.

Side note; managed to bang out 30 consecutive no-rest pushups tonight. 20 was my limit last week.

Nice. Do you have a goal in mind as to how many you want to be able to do at once, or are you just doing them to do them ? I'm usually by myself for long periods of time at work, so when I get bored I bust out a bunch of push ups. I will see what I can max out on today. I do pull ups too, but can only do like 8. ha.

I hadn't really thought of it, but 50+ would be pretty cool. It wasn't that long ago that 40 was standard. This first month will be more re-training muscle memory than actual strength building.

    actual gym time -0-
but I do have a good exercise bike and signed up for/doing Peloton workouts. Make fun if you want but they are butt kicking workouts especially when you can't run outside. Also been doing pushups and dumbbells.

    Friday recap

    Coffee for breakfast

    Work

    Smoked Turkey sausage for lunch

Late Dinner after picking up wife from airport. Stopped at drive thru and picked up a grilled chicken sandwich... First time I've had bread in over a week. Guess what? Instant sinus lockdown. Maybe there is something to this diet in regards to inflammation.
