My last dozen gold tip arrows had 4 that just would not group with the other 8. I tried refletching and inserting new insert etc but it was just the arrows. TIme for a new brand. I am leaning heavily towards the Carbon Tech whitetail or Rhinos because almost everything I have read says they are one if not the most consistently spined arrow on the market. Has anyone used them before
Be aware that there was a urban legend a while ago that said that gold tip had closed an operation in Mexico, but the workers then conifiscated the stuff & were turning out their own version of gold tips, and they were pure junk. You may have some there yourself. I love my Easton ST AXIS. have 2 sets now.
I use Carbon Tech arrows (I just 2 more dozen Whitetail XP's) and, while there may be other companies that make arrows with spines as consistant(very, very few IMO), I don't believe any carbon arrow manufacturers make better arrows. The bonus is that they are manufactured in the USA.
Never heard of that "urban legend" After many years of being happy with my goldtips that last couple dozen have been garbage for me, and especially this last group. Hope they change things around.
