Ok got a question for you experienced guys. I am looking at buying Carbon Express Maxima Series arrows. Any thoughts on these arrows? What would you recommend if not these? I bought some cheap arrows this past season from Sportmans and I'm looking for better quality this time.

If you do get them, let me know what ya think... I've been debating between the Maximas and the Aramid KV's. Have some Predator II's that I got with my bow, and while I like them ok, I'm thinking of getting something a little better quality for hunting. :d

I've used Maxima Hunter 250's for a few years now and have nothing bad to say about them. They are bulletproof, you can't hurt the darn things.

The Maximas are a darn good arrow but they don't even compare to the Aramid KV for durability. I had a friend launch an Aramid 250 through a stack of crab gear by accident and it must've bounced off 6 or 8 steel cages before it stopped; busted nock and lost bulldog collar was the only damage. I was astounded! He split one the next day with another shaft and it didn't survive that. Either arrow is a great shaft but for the same money as the Maximas I'll take the a/c/c any day.

I had a Maxima break snap on the very first shot a few years. Carbon Express replaced the shaft but I always wondered when the next one was gonna go. There are a lot of other options for your money - Like KA said, the ACC or a high end Goldtip.

I shoot Maxima 250's and have not had any problems. They seem to be a tough durable arrow. My only thing with them is they are light (7.3 grs/in) and want a little heavier arrow. The Maxima Hunters and Aramids are heavier.
