Has anyone shot both side by side? I am wondering what the draw cycle feels like in comparison (Fuel cam vs CRX cam) or if they are similar.
Vinny, I've shot all of the last 3 years of Hoyt's, Alphamax, Element, Maxxis, Matrix, CRX's side by side on a couple different occasions, for what it's worth, I like the Alphamax I have with custom Z3 cams the very best, after that, it's a tough call between an Alphamax and a CRX35 in both of their standard set-ups. The Alphamax w/ Z3 cams has the absolute smoothest draw of any bow I've shot though, while still packing decent speed for a "shooter" bow rather than a "speed" bow. The Carbon Element I thought felt MUCH nicer than either Maxxis ( I thought the Maxxis' bows were a disappointment as I didn't like them as much as my AM's I've had and have), but the Element felt a little nicer than the Matrix to me, but NEITHER bow felt enough nicer than the CRX32 or CRX35 that I could ever justify spending that kind of coin. Just my observations though, you'd have to shoot them yourself to develop your own opinions.
Thanks Doug. I have not tried the CRX I'll have to give it a try before I buy anything. I liked the draw of the Element and that it doesn't get cold to the touch when the weather drops. It got to -35 mid november last year and I couldn't even put my bow on my lap wearing snowpants lol.
