That's tough to answer. I used to love carbon express when I had my old bow tech. Once I bought the new xpedition archery it's a lot faster. So the 340 spine arrows didnt cut it. Groups were terrible. I tried carbon express 450 which are 300 spine. Groupings were a bit better but the arrows were a little heavy for my liking. I then got the beman ics pro hunter 300. SOLD! They were incredible. My bow was still shooting incredibly fast and groups were phenomenal. I practice out to 80 yards and even still I had great groups.

That's like a ford vs. chevy vs. dodge question. I've always come back to carbon express, but I really like easton too. The more I look at the specs on the muddy bloodsport arrows, the more I am thinking about trying them out.

Basically, figure out which spine you need, your desired arrow weight, then narrow down which arrow you can use based on your needs.

Most people can use 340 arrows. But mine is 70lbs and a 31" draw. So that's where the issue came in. Anything over 28" arrows on a 70lb bow firing 340 ibo. You will need 300 spine only because the arrow just recover quickly enough.

Your arrow length, tip weight, and draw weight will depict the correct spine. Gold tips are good arrows and a lot of guys use them. I'm not personally a fan but I do have a set I get out and tinker with occasionally.

I'm an easton guy. I know what to expect when I start to tune with them. They are always as advertised.

Had this discussion with a friend of mine that tunes arrows for competition on a national level. He tunes them on a shooting machine and his comment was that he doesn't even want to see another arrow besides easton arrows.:)

I have to agree. All I use is Easton and I have had great success to them.

I use the Beman ICS Bowhunter 340's. They, IMO, have been great arrows for the price. I got a dozen at my local shop cut inserted and fletched with blazers for $90.

There was a recent thread on here about Deer Crossing's arrows that had a review video from Ikes Outdoors in it. They looked pretty impressive and were half that price. I'll probably check those out when I need new arrows. I would recommend watching that video before spending a ton on arrows.

Easton, Muddy, Carbon Express, Gold Tip, Black Eagle, Victory, Deer Crossing, they are all good. It won't matter what brand if you don't get the correct spine, tip weight, insert weight, nock and fletching combo. Work on figuring out what shaft spine is correct first then find all the companies you can that make an arrow shaft in that spine. Then ask is weight important? Do I want a rather light arrow or a heavy arrow? Run the numbers through a calculator to get an idea of what speed and KE you will be producing with the different weights. Then you'll be able to narrow down and start trying different brand shafts or just pick one that best fits and go with it. Then play around with tip weights (which you can do that in a program to help determine FOC and spine before you decide on arrows) Fletchings and nocks. Find the best one for your set up. It's just like finding the right stabilizer set up for your bow.

I personally like Easton Flatline DOA's. I use Bohning double lock nocks and Blazers.

I have shot Easton, Gold Tip and Carbon Express. I settled in on the Carbon Express Mayhem Hunter's and they have been great. I tend to not get caught up in what brand I am shooting, i just want an arrow that is consistent and Carbon Express gave me that. You might want to swing over to your local archery shop and see if they have any demo arrows that you can shoot before spending a lot of money on a product that you won't be satisfied with.

Used to shoot Gold Tip XT Hunter 5575's. Made the switch to Easton FMJ 400's and absolutely love them. I just feel like they hit harder since they are so much heavier.

    Easton.

I've shot Axis and loved them but decided to switch to FMJs for a bit more weight and penetration. I really like them. I would consider shooting the Easton Hexx if I was shopping for an arrow right now.

I am an Easton/Beman fan. They have several shafts that are made in the USA, not Korea like Carbon Express or Mexico like GoldTip. Of course those are both great arrows regardless of where they are made. I was just trying to have my entire set-up be USA made. I am sight shopping now to get rid of my made in China TR V3.

I was really interested in the new Deer Crossing Archery carbon shafts, but they are made in China, figured they had to be at their price point. Supposed to be a pretty nice shaft for the price though.

Just for clarification, I am not anti-foreign goods (I ride a Spanish motorcycle LOL). I just wanted to see if I could put together an entire setup including arrows and broadheads all USA made.
