I got some news today that my dad is taking a job in Iowa. I was born n raised in ny but I feel that I am gonna b entering the world of big bucks n a big change in hunting. I can't wait to b bow hunting in Iowa in 2012. If anyone has experienced it tell me about it cause I'm really excited!
Dude, Albia, IA is the Mecca of Iowa whitetail hunting! Muddy and Midwest Whitetail are both based out of Albia! The tough part you might find there is actually getting access, but this is just my thoughts on it...I have no personal experience in Iowa. Some potentially awesome news though! Good luck!
I live 30 miles away from there. The world record buck was shot near there and I always hear of giants killed over there. If you ever want to meet up for some shooting let me know!
Just google, Tony Lovstuen and world record whitetail. If 319 plus inches doesnt get you excited, nothing will. I live about 25 miles from there and can tell you that your whitetail hunting just got a little more interesting. Access will be somewhat of a challenge, but there are always opportunities for someone willing to put in the effort. Good luck and enjoy the best whitetail hunting in the world. Contrary to Vito's advice, you may have to look behind more than one tree to find a big buck. Just sayin......
Have a farm in Iowa, and my avatar was taken by a trailcam on that farm. My son and I passed on that buck this year because we actually saw 2 bigger deer than that!! Get pumped and have fun!! It's can be amazing.
