The weekend before the season, I messed up my bow arm elbow. Last Tuesday I had surgery. Sitting here on Saturday morning watching hunting on TV instead of being at the trailer hunting! However, the first weekend of the season before surgery I took a doe (with my youngest sons 40 pound kid bow) and my older son shot two fawns. Our little tracking dog found his first two deer. I would like to get him out and on more trails to help with training. So, if anyone needs to find a hit deer in Lake or McHenry Count IL, send me a PM. I'll be checking couple times a day. If I can't get out, at least maybe I can help you find your deer and you can help train my dog! Good luck!
