So last Thursday it was the most beautiful day out, it was snowing like mad and i decided to go sit in the woods. it was way to windy to sit in a stand so i didn't bring my safety harness, but when i got out into the woods the wind had slowed down to almost nothing, despite what my brain told me, i got into my stand, an hour passed so i decided to hang my bow up and hit the antlers a little, as i stood up to hang my bow up i passed out, and down i fell to the ground, long story's short, i broke my L2 vertebrata, my bran new bow is destroyed, and i have to where this full chest brace for 12 weeks, i cant shoot a gun or lift more than 3 lbs for 3 months.

i thought i would never be a statistic but now i am, and i can tell you this, i don't think i will ever hunt a stand again, and if i do a harness will be on NO MATTER WHAT. im lucky to be alive and tell you guys my story
don't be like me, be safe and where your harness, im only 19 years old and i could of died. im glad to be a live

good hunting every one and be safe

So sorry to hear about this. I am sending out prayers for a quick recovery. I hope someone who doesn't wear a harness reads this! It could save their life.

Sorry to hear of your accident. I hope this post reaches someone that doesn't wear a harness. Glad you didn't get hurt any worse. Keep you spirits up and work hard on recovery. Hopefully you'll be back out hunting next year (with a harness on) and be blessed with a monster buck :)

Man, I hate to hear that. I will be praying that you make a great recovery. I have been trying to get my brother to wear a harness for the last two years. I didn't know he wasn't wearing one until he started hunting with me. The only time he will wear one is if he hunts a lock on. For some reason he feels safe in his climber since it has a shooting rail. I am hoping I get through to him before it is too late one day.

Saturday afternoon wasn't a good time to be in the woods period it doesn't sound like. It was windy here too. Thats when we had our accident too.
