im looking for some input on those who own either . I cant seem to decide on either the element or sypder turbo. Im primarily a moose and black bear hunter with whitetail as my secondary game. I do hunt from treestands and spot and stalk as well. both Bows feel good.

is the element suffice for spot and stalk moose and bear or is it too small? will the spyder turbo be sufficient in a treestand? im looking for knockdown power and can be suitable for both styles of hunting.

You can use an element for anything haha, why would you think its too small? Ive had min for just over a yr and i absolutly love it. By far the nicest bow ive shot. They are both nice bows, havent shot the spyder turbo, just the spyder 30" but i like it. Either way cant go wrong, and both you can use to hunt any species of animal if you have the right poundage on your setup etc. either way both nice bows in my opinion, cant go wrong either way! Good luck with your choice. I hunt alot of bear also. Shot 2 with my element last spring and goin on a grizz hunt with the element in under two weeks.

If you're looking for knock down power get a .338 and you'll be pleased. Bows don't work that way. Either of the two bows you're looking at will do the job but you should shoot them both to make the decision. I don't think you will know one from the other once you start hunting. You can use both for either style of hunting so shoot what feels best to you. Good luck with your decision.

I chose the Spyder Turbo over the Carbon Element simply because of the price of the CE. If I had the money I would have gotten the CE. Either bow is a good bow.

    thanks for the replies.

I dont get why they make the turbo and the 34 so close in specs. why only 10 more fps? does that really make much of a difference?

what i meant by knockdown power is something that is hard hitting for big game (kinetic energy, etc)

You won't find 10 fps to make much difference at all. Figure out which bow you like and it will definitely do the job. Some hunters kill moose and bears with 45 and 50 lb draw weight. Get your arrow and broadhead set up right and you'll have no problems. Good luck.

I shoot hoyt, for the past six years, I have bought the new hoyt every year....the spyders shoot awesome..but they are FUGLY. I have a vector 32, turbo, and an element...I like my 32 the best. I suggest you shoot the new bowtech experience if you are not brand loyal, it shoot circles around any bow made to date! I always shoot every brand, each year...and have never found anything that could touch my hoyts....until I shot the experience.....awesome bow!! shoot it, you will understand.

because a lot of these idiots think that speed is the most important factor of a bow....look at all these guys buying pse...the ONLY thing pse has that is any good, is speed....they suck on the draw, they rip off your arm if you creep, and they don't shoot as well(FOR ME, MY OPINION)...but guys flock to them because they are the fastest...they don't realize that the impact of their arrow at forty yards, is only there a quarter second faster than a bow shooting thirty fps slower. I will take accurate, smooth, quiet, SHOOTER FRIENDLY, and durable over speed ANY DAY....I don't understand how these guys say that 330 ibo is slow....boggles my mind. I know a guy shooting a bear white tail ii and he kills giants almost every year....
