Anybody have this camera. I know they are on backorder as of now because of the crisis in Japan. It looks like a sweet camea. I like the handle with all the audio options. 2 XLR Ports are a big plus. I will be able to use my shotgun mic along with my Senhheiser Wireless system. Looks like a great prosumer camera in a great price range. They are saying it would be right up there with the older Canon XHA1S. I know thats a sweet camera too. Thats what the guys at Whitetail Property's TV use a lot. Any input on the camera would be great. Thanks, Andrew
I see a couple of downsides to the XA10, one being it looks like a single Chip imager instead of 3 1/3" chips, which will give you less quality in color grading and picture. Also it does not appear to have ND filters or easily adjustable iris settings. lack of programmable scene files is also another bummer, so i would not really classify this in the same catagory as the Xha1s, I'd say it falls between a handicam and the Xha1s. A good starter camera if bumping up from consuler to pro-sumer for sure, but I would not expect the same quality that the older Xha1s can give you. Also the 10x lens will limit you in long distance situations.
