Does anyone else have a Canon HF S30 with Varizoom remote or any remote? I've got the Varizoom rocker and I am unable to get the focus button to work with my camera. It only works if you go through the menu to the touch screen manual focus mode.
I have a Canon HF series camera and I had a lot of trouble with the manual focus feature on that camera. That's one of the reasons I went to a new camera this year...it's a good camera, but is tough for a hunter in the field to use because of the manual focus not being very user friendly. I know some guys that found an adapter kit that basically made the camera work like it had a focus ring, but I have no idea where they got it or how it worked. Good luck, wish I could be more help.
