Some one I hunt with asked me this last night while shooting. Once and a while we miss the target and have a wood pile behind our blocks. The arrows will get dirt on out arrows can you wash them off,or will this compromize the arrow.

You can wash them off with no ill effects. Just stay away from harsh chemicals and steel wool

Yup. I usually take a kitchen sponge with warm water on it. Washes blood & dirt right off.

Water and a paper towel, but make sure to let the arrow, insert, and broadhead dry completely before putting the arrow away or you could see a little rust form.

Of course you can. I've used water and baby wipes to wash my arrows before and both worked well.

I wash mine after a pass through, just HS green soap and water, and a sponge. I remove the broadhead and let it dry overnight, as I don't want the moisture to cause corrosion and lock in the tip.

No you can't wash them. Don't hunt in the rain either or you risk ruining them... :) . I am kidding of course.

One year I shot a doe in the morning, washed the arrow and sharpened the head and shot a buck in the afternoon. Only time I ever doubled and it was with the same arrow.
