I got a 3 pin trophy ridge sharp shooter sight and i want to add a pin or two to it. i feel comfortable shooting out to bout 50- 60 yrds but i have to guesstimate off my third pin and i dont like that i want to know if you can add a pin or two i dont want to buy another sight if i can add the pins my self and keep my sight. any info will be helpful
I bought five-pin sights and had one removed at the factory before it was sent out... Or maybe I bought three-pin sights and had them add one before it went out... Something like that.
To answer your question though... on most sights it's a fairly straightforward and uncomplicated process. I run Spot Hoggs with Hogg Wraps on all my rigs, and that gets to be a little more complex; hence the reason I just order them custom configured straight from the factory.
It all depends on if you have room on the rail(s) to add more pins. If you got the room, you can add them on.
i have plenty of room just dont know where to find the pins and didnt know if it was possible to add it accuracy wise.
Try contacting Trophy Ridge I'm sure they can sell you a pin for the color you want... http://www.trophyridge.com/service/
as stated above, as long as there is room for more you can do it. i've done this a few times for myself and did it for my friend 2 years ago.
I just spoke w/a customer rep at Trophy Ridge, and yes you can add a pin/s. But it is dependent on model. I have the 3 pin TR Matrix, and that is upgradeable.
