I think a few of you aren't getting what he's saying.

    Maybe this will help.....

In your opinion......is the avg. BH.com'er = the avg. hunter?

    Don't prove that he underestimated.....lol.

Who said he was talking about the average BH.com'er? I think what he said speaks for itself.

    Maybe like gri22ly said it's a PA thing ;)

I think quik was being a little leniant on the average hunter we run into in this state. Turns my stomach that I am lumped into the same category as them.

The place I hunt draws a pretty good crowd of guys, from Marines to other professionals. They don't litter, keep the woods clean, and do not poach. When we walk up on each others hunting area we just wave and move on. And I am talking about thousands of hunters that hunt the public land I do.

    Ok what was the meaning?

Please dont be mad i having some fun at your expense,as much as you are i am sure.

I understand that Ryan, but to make a blanket statement to how most hunters are idiots is just ridiculous. Just come out and talk about PA.

Justin, Dan, and other guys who moderate and own this website....is it your contention that most hunters are idiots and slobs? Kind of like "average joe" kind of guys who fit Quik's definition?

Here is the beginning of the blog section here on bowhunting.com.....

"The Bowhunting.com staff is made up of "Average Joe" bowhunters from around the country who are serious about one thing - BOWHUNTING. Keep up to date with them as they work year-round at persuing their passion and bring you the most up-to-date information on bowhunting gear and archery equipment."

    Most....No. Some....yes.

Let me ask this, before I rattle on and on about our fellow hunters and the good and bad within the sport.....because really, I don't want to get into this argument.

Does anyone believe that hunting brings out some extreme low lifes, because of the killing part? Guys that have no respect for the animals and are in it purely for the kill? If so, do these guys really stick out in your mind? Do you believe they give hunting a bad name?

Ok i will start over. back to the thread.:woot:

I have about 1200 ac right now i can hunt for free, all thru a lot of work but i have lost great ground over hunting clubs, rich people that found out i was on a big deer, and some of it was my fault.
And in the past i have had guys pull up in there new trucks pulling a high dollar atv asking if they could hunt after they drove past a no trespassing sign,

There are some bad hunter's and neighbors I deal with that on a day to day basis, I not mad at the whole world. The best bow in the world wont seal the deal on a buck, that comes from within at that final moment it is up to each and every one of us to seal the deal or not. We have all been there "the thrill of victory or the agony of defeat'' It makes us who we are.

No hunter is the equipment, I have a old truck,97 tahoe old atv 95 polaris bought a new bow last year but it's the first one in 5 years.
pay to hunt.no way I do all right for a working man.

    Best to you guys, :deer:

Thank you Dan. There are extreme low lifes in any group of people.

Back to the thread. Hunting is not expensive to me because I live really close to a large chunk of public land. Someone was looking out for me when they put me in this area over 11 years ago.

Trust me, I'm not really having fun simply pointing out that you misunderstood his meaning. If you're having fun berating me, that's fine.

Tell me....how many times do we see threads involving:

"They trespassed on my property. They stole my stand. My camera is missing. My house was robbed. My car was looted. Some a$$hole poached the big buck that I was hunting. I found a headless deer laying in the woods. These guys were roadhunting. That guy doesn't tag his deer. My "friend" cut my throat on a hunting area. Somebody shot this lady's dog. Man shoots house. Man shoots man. Man mistakes llama for deer."

I give the avg. bh.com'er more credit for being a true sportsman than I give the masses. I think most would agree with that.

    Back to the thread.

Your right ...only you know his true meaning,as everyone else found it to mean different as you can see from or post. you are the only one defending his words.

Having spirited conversation's are what people are supposed to have, Not everyone speaks the same or thinks the same. I like to think we are all friends and friends can disagree and go on with are lives.
so agree to disagree, people from different parts of the country have different life experience that makes us who we are, Just because i dont agree with someone most of the time does not mean i dont like them.

No harm done, I am sorry if i offended you.

but let's agree to get back on the subject. thanks
