Hey everyone, I'm new to the site, and I have a question about my ULTR-REST. I've had my HOYT V-TEC XT now for about a year, and it shoots great. The problem I'm experiencing now is that the ULTR-REST will not consistently stay up, whenever I knock an arrow. And during "Spotting and Stalking", the ULTR-REST would drop away, I usually have to hold my index finger over the arrow while trying that hunting method. Is their a way to repair them, or do you just send it back to the manufacturer? I bought the bow used on 12/31/09, and have been shooting it 4-5 time a week since then. Has anyone else experienced such a problem with their ULTRA-REST? I really like them and would buy another, but if it can be repaired, I'm sure that would be cheaper.

Thanks for any and all repsonses :tu:.

Did it freeze or did you fire it without it coming all the way into the release position? Mine froze and wouldn't stay up at all, now that it's thawed again the mechanism is working fine. If you fired it without it coming all the way up you may have broken the locking cam and that can't be fixed.

Hey Rob, thanks for the response. No, it didn't freeze, it just WILL NOT perform correctly. Sometimes it will lock in the up position as it should, but sometimes it will just NOT stay up. Since I bought the BOW used, I guess the rest might be at the end of its life. I may just buy a new one and be done. When it works it's good, but I just don't want a failure at the wrong time. If it can be repaired, that would be great too. Thanks again.

Call QAD. I'm sure they'll fix you up.

X2 on calling QAD I was having some problems with mounting the rest on my bow. I didnt have the proper spacers and the Tech at QAD hooked me up and was very informative! I am sure they will get you squared away!!
