The St. Louis Cardinals.......... We're gonna have to beat the Dodgers, but I think we have their number. Carpenter, Wainwright, Franklin, Holliday, Pujols.....Ludwick.......This team is unstopable!

My Braves actually showed me a little bit this something and regardless of whether or not they steal the Wild Card, they definitely have something to build off of next season.

As a Cards fan I can say I am very excited to see what materializes out of this. They've been insanely good after the pickup of DeRosa, Holliday, and Lugo. Pitching is actually something to brag about in I don't know how long... solid batting lineup. I'm knockin on wood as I say this, but I'm excited to see what the next two months have for us.

Don, we can't talk about the Cardinals. The Cubs fans will pout and whine until they piss themselves. I doubt they will post on this thread, though. They are all busy making "Wait till next year" signs. :D

No way. Put your money on the defending World Champion
Philadelphia Phillies. Cole Hamels is on a 19 shut-out innings
streak, Cliff Lee just might win his 3rd Cy Young this year, and
Brett Myers is due back from the I.R. this week. With the Phils. bats, they'll be hard to beat ... again.

Is he going to win the AL and the NL? He has one Cy Young. He came in 4th in 2005.:p

Lincecum is your Cy Young, Wainwright and Carpenter will get some votes as well.

If they sweep the lowly Pirates this weekend, they will be part of history as the Pirates would become the worst major sports team ever, having 17 consecutive losing seasons.

As a Brewer fan I will just hang my head. I will say I am glad it is the Cards and NOT Cubs.

I thought (mistakenly) that Cliff Lee already had 2. He won't win this year either, but he was a great addition to the Phillies pitching staff. The only weak spot on that team is the bullpen, and hopefully that will come around.

No.. you can't. And I'm not saying this because I'm a Cubs fan either.

Dodgers are to tough to beat.. even when Ramirez isn't hitting. A solid team that shows no mercy.

No doubt about that, he's been clutch. If Lidge gets it together, Philly will be a handfull.

No.. no.. you misinterpret baseball then.

That late July series the Cards had to win.. the Dodgers didn't.

    BIG difference.
