I can't wait to ask someday.

My heart and soul tells me there is a god and that is all that matters to me. But even if I removed those from the equation and thought about it logically, it STILL makes sense to me for a creation theory to have happened over a big bang theory. Every time I learn something new about the workings of the human body and how many MILLIONS of things have to work perfectly in sync for us to even be alive...the more I am cemented in believing there is no way in hell all of that just happened on its own.

God is eternal, hence no need for a creator. It is a Faith thing, Like Siman said.

You guys are pretty much SPOT ON with my thoughts... When you sit and dwell on it... It can't just all be from an accident, I believe everything happens for a reason... and We may never know what that reason is.

I believe when you speak of God and the Supernatural.... there is no "time" your just "there" It's another dimension that our Human minds could never begin to comprehend... And as said before... that's where Faith kicks in.

It says in the Bible that we are to have Child-like faith... that term means alot to me...

And you can have luck.... good or bad. It explains a lot. Some people die now.... the rest later. Some get sick now.... some later. There's good and evil. You can decide which you'll be. Good and evil are our measurement. I'll never be convinced that one religion has the upper hand on what's right or wrong... or if any of them do. They're guides.... if you feel you need one. I know there are powers greater than myself... because it/they let me live a couple times when it was not a guarantee. Or.... was it just dumb luck? I don't try to figure it out anymore. I did enough of that 40 years ago.

I like it, using science to strengthen your views on religion. Even though I am not a religous man, I believe what you say in the bolded portion below.........

I firmly believe in evolution to begin with. most of my family on my mothers side are very religious, I fagot what was actually said but I remember hearing them say "dinosaur bones were put on earth by god to test our faith and that there were no dinosaurs" had some thing to do with the time they were alive and jesus or some thing, I don't fully remember.. point being, how can people be so small minded? or possibly brain washed? I do not mean any offence to anyone at all, its just how I tend to see it.

I think there is so so so much more beyond what we can see and know. being a believer in evolution I guess means that some where down the line some thing must have created the start of everything, but not the god as we know it, I tend to believe religion is more a business.

Interesting points, everyone. I certainly didn't expect a concrete answer for a question that, as many of you noted, is not black and white. I suppose I struggle with viewing not knowing as part of life, and rather I view the unknown and unexplainable as reason for skepticism and confusion. I'm getting there, though,

my "questions" always stem back from who's religon is right? tons of people went thru thousands of years before being "taught" certain religions. they lived and then died, and no doubt went to their god. i had a hard time sturuggling with that for many yrs, when the history books wrote of how people were now somehow better because of their new found/taught religion. didnt those people believe in something before being found? wasnt it possible for them to be good and do right and what is just in their life? i like what davidmil said that no one religon has the upper hand on another. when i got that concept i feel i became a better person. i have faith and i belive.

I have always thought christians would be better off without religion...much, much better off.

Its interesting how humans like to be part of a group, yet separate from others.

I'm very familiar with these "questions" because I have them too...

I guess the way I look at it is like this: Take the Native Americans for instance... they were never told about any kind of God... Yet they believed in something higher than themselves... I believe God will deal with them accordingly...
