Can someone explain to me why Bama is ranked #4 in the CFB playoff poll?

1st off. I hope Fournette pours in on Bama. I love watching that guy run, such a beast.

2nd, I think it completely defies all logic that Ohio State is still not #1 in all polls plus playoffs. I AM NOT a fan at all, but they are the defending national champions, and are undefeated. Until somebody knocks them off, they should be #1. Before everyone throws a hissy fit, I'm just commenting on the logic behind it.. I understand how stregth of schedule and all that stuff works.

Didn't Notre Dame almost lose to lowly Virginia? Bamas defensive front is no joke.

Lsu should beat Alabama and later this year Michigan st WILL beat Ohio state. And thankfully we won't have to hear about those two teams anymore this year after that.

In a game where their backup who was supposed to never see the field ever had to come in....was their worst win no doubt. But their loss is the best one loss so far by anyone. Early though I sense a lot will be sorted out in the next 2 weeks and the arguments will get fewer.

Not quite 20, but not much of a game. LSU needs more of a running game.

Alabama played good and LSU played bad. That game sucked, I wanted to see a good game.

That was a pretty weak trolling attempt. I don't like LSU either, but Fournette is a beast. Just had a bad game. You'd be hard pressed to name a better RB in the country than those two.

Man. That was complete domination. Simply Bama's DL completey and utterly dominated LSU's OL. I have no idea what happened, but they could not do anything. Fournette never had a chance. In 13 of his 19 carries, he was hit before the LOS. That is...something.

Anyways....now LSU needs to win out, which is very possible, and we need MS St or Auburn to catch Bama on one on their sleep walk games.

    It could happen...

I think even if LSU wins out, they're done. They won't make the playoffs. There's always a chance with a 1 loss team, but that will go to Bama now.
Michigan state loseing really opened up a spot. Right now, I think that spot will go to ND. There's so much that's going to happen between now and then! Awesome!

Lol, close, not equal. Ohio state hasn't played ANYONE and fournette has more yards and tds on one more attempt. LSU has played 4 teams in the top 25 this year. Ezekiel Elliot is good, but not as good as fournette.

So it's ok to compare Henry to Fournette but not EE? Don't kid yourself. EE is just as good as either of them, I think last year proved that. Let's see how it pans out by the end of the year.

Sorry man...Elliot isn't on the same level as Fournette, but neither is Henry.

Only other back in CFB on the same level as Fournette is Dalvin Cook.

Henry and Elliot are good backs, just not at that level.

I disagree and the stats show it. We're talking overall RB ability not just 2015 season. If we compare this year and last year for all 3, this is what we have:

EE: 3092 yards on 466 attempts, 32 rushing TD, 6.6 average
Fournette: 2417 yards on 382 attempts, 26 rushing TD, 6.3 average
Henry: 2244 yards on 390 attempts, 28 rushing TD, 5.8 average

So yes, EE had a few more games considering last years playoffs and championship games, but the attempts, yards, and TDs represent that pretty evenly. EE and Henry both had other RBs ahead of them their Freshman year (Hyde and Yeldon?) and Fournette was lucky enough to be able to start his freshman year. So that's literally the only thing he's got ahead of the other two, which is circumstantial. Try to explain to me how EE isn't on the same level?

EDIT: Not sure if that was Yeldon or Lacy who played ahead of Henry.

I'll be the first to admit I'm not an Alabama fan but this is exactly what I was thinking. As I showed in my post above, the stats for the past 2 years don't lie. Bama may have played their best and LSU their worst in this game, but that doesn't mean you can excuse the stats. All 3 are in the rankings of being "a good RB". They ARE about equal.
