59 degrees this morning when I drove to work. Some of the corn fields are starting to turn slightly yellow. Hunting season is approaching fast.

Its been one of the coldest summer on record here Jeff, it has been over 90 only around 10 times i believe, and the nights have been in the 60-70's repeatedly.

It was burning hot today--flung about 50 arrows and was sweating like a crazy drunken kung fu artist.

This morning it was in the 60's at 4:30 as I drove to work. I had the window down, high beams on looking for Booners and smelling the fresh cool air. There is no place like a deer stand in the woods come October.

Frankly, I'd love to smell it. I just haven't yet. For the last few weeks it's been hot and really humid. For me to "smell" it or get chills even, I need a 45 degree night. That's not to say that I am not absolutely pumped for the upcoming season, I just don't feel it yet. I am envious of anyone that can say they have.

Was shooting the Air Raid today, enjoying my home range in the woods and the acorns were dropping pretty heavy. It was truly an ear pleasing sound but it also rained, was hot and humid so no smells of fall here.

I'm not looking past my Pronghorn hunt in 2 weeks with jmbuck, Greg / MO, Kidd642 and more. Then, I'll be gearing for whitetail.
