I have a 13 year old Bear Super Strike XLR and this is the first time its being used in 10 years. At first it seemed a bit hard to pull back. But its getting easier. Am I getting stronger or is the bow getting weaker?

    Yes, when your string stretches.

If its been a while since you have shot a bow, your muscles are probably getting use to drawing again. Probably like when someone first starts shooting a bow.

The only way to really tell is by putting the bow on a scale. The bow can lose peak draw weight if the cables elongate (creep). Wood limbs can lose draw weight over time if not cared for but carbon fiber / glass limbs do not.

If the bow is that old and has not been shot in a long time I suggest you inspect and replace the cables and string if needed (likely) and have the bow put back into specification by a good shop if you don't know how to do it yourself.

(x2) I wouldn't want to shoot that thing without a good thorough inspection.
