When hunting season is not happening, I try and get out in a tent as much as possible. I created this thread to outline anything associated to camping/backpacking. Since i primarily work 4, 10 hour days, this year i plan on taking a boat load of 3 day camping/fishing trips. Mostly local to my area... we usually take our normal Sunday hike on the once section of the Appalachian trail every weekend... think the section we do is around 7 miles... Last weekend we didn't go because of the high winds... someone was killed that day from a tree being blow over where we hike.. This was taken 2 weekends ago when we still had snow... I don't do the tent all that often anymore. But we do get out "camping" a good bit each summer. Always wanted to backpack sections of the Appalachian trail. Probably never happen though.
