So I'm considering getting rid of my bass boat (never have the time to get out on it and kinda boring fishing by myself) and my motorcycle to get a 34' travel trailer. Several reasons on this, all the moving I do with the military, finding a rental or buying a house then having to rent or sell it is getting old. There is a good possibility I'm going to Ft Polk, LA late next year and rental options for pet owners is pretty much non-existent there. Would also be nice to downsize all the stuff I have in the house I currently own, if I'm going to be moving around at least two more times before I retire from the Army. I put in an application for transition to the LUH Lakota (helicopter) and I'll find out in August if I got selected. If I do get selected, requires me to do three years for the Army after I complete the flight training on that airframe which would be next summer. This will put me past 20 years which I don't mind. But I digress, anyone have experience living out of one of the bigger travel trailers? I don't think I would mind it much, and the ones I'm looking at will have room for the dogs kennels for while I'm at work. PLUS, I can just "move the house" each year for the GTG!

I have never lived in a camper, but I know a guy that does. His is longer than the one you are talking about and has two slides, but he really enjoys it. Takes a pretty good truck to pull it around though

Not sure what you drive but I would consider a 5th wheel instead of a tag along.

Truck won't be an issue, drive an F250 Super Duty. I had thought of doing the 5th wheel but higher prices plus getting gooseneck hitch installed in the truck.

If I were to get a big camper like that, it would definitely be a 5th wheel. But my next truck will have the hitch in it already, so it makes it easier haha
