The woods I hunt does not have a lot of mature trees and I need to do something to my ladder tree stand so I don't stand out.

I want to know if you have found a successful, fairly easy way, to camoflauge a tree stand. Last year i cut tree limbs and zip tied them to the stand frame and that worked somewhat well until the leaves died and wilted. Lost a lot of my cover and they got noisy.

My thought is make some kind of a frame using "long" wooden dowls or plastic rods and attach many silk or plastic artifical leave figuring the silk leaf will be more durable and last longer and be more quiet than a dried leaf.

I know you can buy a camo cloth but I am concerned it will look more like a big dark blob in the tree as compared to a bunch of specifically placed leaves.

Hope this makes sense. Do you know where I can buy these types of artificial leaves. Any other ideas?

    Thank you!

I use the camo skirt, it dont stand out too bad. I also have the magnetic leaf ropes that i wrap around the ladder to help break up the straigh lines.

More important than brushing in is to allow time for the deer to adjust to it IMO. Good luck.

You can use natural branches, but use oak branches. They hold onto their leaves even after dead and the broad leaves of oaks are great break up.
