They're no better than camouflage on pants or a shirt. If you're hidden like you oughta be then there isn't a problem anyways. The things believe it or not can be hot! I didn't like mine and it wasn't an el' cheapo! You may like it. Not everybody has to hunt in 85 degrees or higher as I do sometimes here in the SIP.

Yeah that's what I figure too, I was just asking for those who do not know how to hide like they oughta........:hail:

My biggest concern was interference while shooting, look like they would be awesome for concealment,

What do you mean by hidden like we oughta be? of course it would be best to be up in the perfect tree in the perfect spot, with the perfect branches around us. but lets face it, hunting is rarely perfect, sometimes we cant hunt very good conditions, a lot of people are blessed with hunting on private land, where they can setup perfect hunting spots with perfect set ups, but public land hunting can be a different animal.
so the leafy/ghillie suits wont help much if any? i thought the 3-d effect of it would help a lot, maybe im wrong though

I pay close attention to my back cover. I would think a ghillie suit would be very warm and would worry about it when shooting my bow. Just my .02 :)

That's what I was thinking too, the 3-d effect would help, but as others have mentioned, I worry about being able to shoot my bow, as for them being warm, early morning hunts in nov. can get a little chilly, not too worried about that, saw some vids on utube, these things look pretty awesome for blending in, bet they would be great for gun or late M/L season

i have bought the realtree leafy wear from cabelas its very light and you can wear what you like and just throw that over your clothes. Your trouble shooting with a bow yes a maybe a little bit what i have done since im right handed i took a scissors to my left arm and cut the leaves that were in the way and i have no prolbem since and i do like mine

I've seen a guy goose hunt in a ghillie suit and be very successful :)

Geese and deer are basically the same thing, right? :)

I purchased a kit for making your own ghillie. it was a pain and didn't take the 8 hours they said. With that being said it looks great. I will have to take some pictures and post them. Mine is synthetic thread tied to 1"x1" netting. Its very light and breathable (but you have to wear camo under it being as you can see through the strings and netting).

In terms of concealment i used it for turkey hunting this season. I sat at the base of a big tree and after a while my sister wanted to come out and sit with me. She walked by at 30 yards, looked right at me and continued on her marry way to find me. I was shocked that she had no idea i was there.

Only thing is, i am worried about my bow string getting caught on the ghillie material so i died an ace wrap to a dark green and will be using that to keep the ghillie from tangling my bowstring, hopefully. The sight i bought mine off of also sells a premade suit that has the chest and which ever arm you use to hold the bow left untied so there is no ghillie material to get in the way of your shot.

Before i posted these i tried my Ace wrap trick and it worked as planned. 6 shots and no tangling in the string
