I like my mask. Have a thin netted one for summer to help keep some of the bugs at bay, and then a heavier fleece one for winter
Mosquito type mask in the warm and a heavy mask in the cold. Keep a tube of brown paint in the pack as a back up, but the stuff is hard to get off between hunts.
Face paint in early season, neck gaiter in cold. I love using a gaiter cause I can wear it around my neck and ill it up to my face, or wear it like a beanie.
I am a big fan of dead down winds camo wheel as wheel as well and I take some field wipes to clean up with for trophy shots
Everyone that says paint is hard to get off. Here is what I use...Equate Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes, 40 count: Skin Care : Walmart.com get them at Wal Mart. Yeah its a little fruity carrying around some make-up wipes in my truck, but it gets the job done and easily. No scrubbing!
I always rock the beard, but it's getting so white it's starting to look like snow camo. I wish Just For Men came in green. and not to start a flame-fest, but are you serious w/ your tag line UnclJohn? That's sickening.
I mean your viewpoint is sickening. The NRA has spent hundreds of millions of dollars promoting safe hunting, conservation, wildlife habitat, and defending against not only anti-hunting efforts, but also efforts to erode the 2nd Amendment; which by the way, is Constitutionally protected. Hunting is not. The day after the 2nd Amendment is repealed; the anti-gunners will turn their sights full-bore on hunting. Uncle Joe's "you don't need an assault rifle to hunt" mantra is a canard. Neither the Bill of of Rights nor the Constitution ever mentions hunting. Hunting is a privilege, not a right. A privilege that is a side benefit of the exercising of one's 2nd Amendment rights, the staunchest defender of which is the NRA.
I wear a moisture wicking balaclava or mask. It is made by Enduraskin. It keeps scent down and conceals everything but my eyes. I buy mine from BPS.
Beard, and CamoFX. I switched from contact lenses to glasses, and I don't mind a face mask, but I can't stand putting up with the glasses fogging. I have pretty much worn face paint for years anyway. The CamoFX goes on and comes off easily. The stuff I really liked was the Tink's Camo Powder. Dab that on with a makeup sponge, and washed right off. If that was still available, I would still be using it. I may try Carbomask sometime to see how that works. For now, CamoFX suits me fine!
When its real cold I wear a face mask for deer hunting but it tends to fog my glasses. I usually don't wear face paint either but sometimes its fun to mess around with it. I do think some of the guys on the shows get a little carried away with it.
