I've always said that clowns wear facepaint and ninjas wear masks. What do you want to be?

I wear a mesh leafy headnet during early season and balaclava in mid-late season. The net never gets all filled w/ moisture, it has a strap so you can snug it up behind your head so it doesn't obstruct your view. I cut a small hole at the mouth for my water bottle straw and grunt call.

    I guess I'm a ninja clown!

I wear both. Tight mask and paint the bridge of my nose and eyes.

Im talking from inexperience here so my solutions may not be viable

but if your mask gets filled up with moisture, why dont you just cut a hole for your mouth? Sure it might get cold around that area, but it's probably better than moisture.

Secondly, if you dont want to wear paint because you look funny when not hunting, why not just carry around baby wipes?

I just rock the beard. Hate masks, and paint is just a hassle and driving around town I don't want to look like an idiot

I use both, at different times of course.

Early season when it's warmer I'll use facepaint. When the temps start to drop well off, I switch to a mask. I really like my UA mask as it's comfortable, and doesn't obstruct my vision. When the temps drop to 0 I will use both my UA mask and walmart wool backlava (sp?)

Neither for deer. I aint wearing make up and I hate the way a mask hinders hearing/seeing ability.

    Now turkey hunting I hafta wear a mask.....but I don't like it

I have always worn a mask never really had any complaints about the one I have. It's pretty thin and stays tight to my face.

This last year I picked up a quikcamo hat and I love it for waterfowl turkey and just sitting with a gun but I cannot wear it bow hunting as it obstructs my vision. Shot my bear and many ducks and geese wearing it. http://quikcamo.com/realtree#intro

I just picked up some camo fx to wear this year I have worn paint before and have like it, just sucks getting it off sometimes

I use the Scent Away field wipes to wipe my hands before I start putting on my gear. One day I tried using the wipe on my face paint and it worked like a charm. Now I put the wipe somewhere so it won't dry out and use it to clean my face after I am done hunting.

Also, I'm a big fan of the Dead Down Wind face paint wheel. I think it is easier to apply than those in the stick form.

CAMO FX looks like nice stuff!

I wear paint early to mid October. I feel like masks mess with my vision/ hearing. I do wear a mask once it starts getting colder, but by then the leaves have really fallen so I can usually see deer approaching from further away and also hear them easier. I also don't mind a mask later in season cause I wear it for warmth.

Last year I did a neck gator or bare face. This year I think I'll go back to paint. I don't like mask because they throw off my anchor, neck gators are ok, but it takes extra movement to adjust it in stand and to pull it down prior to every shot, I like face paint because it sets me in kill mode, but I don't like how its a pita to get off and I look like a Richard driving through town or getting lunch.

Plus everyone knows hero shots with face paint > then any other hero shot.
