I am not sure if this is the correct forum to post this.

I pulled my camo out of the washer and noticed I have a lot of seams letting loose or gone all together.

    I am 5'8" tall with a 28" inseam, 285lb of peer muscle, well .

I have always worn bibs for hunting once it starts getting time to layer. With having the short inseam have you guys found camo that fits decent with out bunching up really bad in the legs.

I have looked at the Sitka brand and they are saying 32" inseam in my size, its a full zip to thigh, what I have now which is great for putting on once you get to the stand. just 4" of extra material. I don't no how a person could shorten it up with the zipper.

Game hide was showing the same thing but with a zip to knee.

Pants are not a issue because there is no zipper to contend with. Easy to hem up.

    Any recommendations?

I have the same issue. I see it that we have 3 options:

    1. deal with it
    2. learn to sew or find someone that knows how
    3. Find a woman's size that fits you

Most of the time I just take them to my mother-in-law to shorten up before then I took them to a tailor. Another option is that you can wear your standard clothes and throw on a leaf suit or bug suit. I need a new set too so if I find a set that fits nice I will PM you.

How about wearing high heels? Or what are those womens shoes called that are really high? Platform shoes or something?

In all seriousness, if you tuck your pant legs into rubber boots, it might not be near as much of an issue.

No high heels for this guy, I have lots of steel in my ankle from a cycle accident. The pants are not a issue for tucking into rubber boots. Its the bibs I wear over them, you cant shove both in to a pair of boots.

So is it easy to have leg zippers shortened then? My wife doesn't now how to do that.

When I bought the last pair they fit perfect, cant find any since, un less im to picky.

My brother's girlfriend has same issue. Very short legs. They got her a pair of bibs that fit all other places and then took to upholstery shop. They deal with high strength zippers, so no worries there. Didn't charge that much either. Hope this helps

Depending on budget, you can have clothing custom made for you. Gray Wolf Woolens has outstanding clothing and its built specifically for you. Trade off is their a bit pricey.

Any good seamstress shop should be able to fix you up however.

Or an upholstery shop if the material is too heavy for a seamstress' sewing machine.

Thanks guys I am nursing the camo along for a few more hunts than it will be time for some new stuff. Any recommendations? I have had the same camo for over 15 years I hope I can get some that will last that long again.

    Beefie,
I'll PM you to but I got a set of Cabelas late season Coveralls Large and standard length. They are a tad bit long but have snaps to close them around your ankle so it works out. They have not stood the test of time yet but do fit fairly well.

I have had zippers replaced on bibs by a drycleaner before.
