figured id save room on the server ;)

    1. camo. do i really need the awsome looking camoaflauge suites that cost a small fortune? i am hunting a piece of property thet is across the street from a fairly sized subdivision. its my grandfathers property, and there are a lot of big deer there. i will be hunting in a tree stand, or if i can afford, a ground blind. i would have to believe that the animals on the property are more "acustomed" to humans, then say a montana mulie, and use to smelling wierd sents. i will use some sort of sent eliminator, but i just didnt know if i would need the expesive camo to get the job done.

    2. why not head shoot the deer if its close enough??? then you wouldnt have to track it, right? just wondering,

    thanks guys, brian.

No you don't "need" the expensive camo. I killed deer when I was young wearing army BDU's and flannel shirts. It does help in some situations though. Just make sure you have cover to break up your outline and limit your movement.

NEVER attempt to head shoot a deer. Seriously. A deers brain is smaller than a tennis ball. If you get lucky enough to penetrate the skull on a perfect shot (unlikely on both the perfect shot and penetration), the animal runs away injured and may die a slow painful death. I've seen deer with their jaw shot off, that can't eat, and slowly starved. Not a pretty sight. The lungs/heart area is a MUCH larger target, and will kill the deer consistently. There is very little major bone structure to penetrate compared to a skull. That is where you should be aiming.

Hope this helps, and good luck!!

Any camo works in reality, people just get caught up buying the latest and greatest to keep up with the Jones' IMHO!!!

Bow just doesnt have the Kinetic energy required to safely shoot head shots. Remember, you are not shooting a shotgun here.

of course you dont, u just need to sit still and break up your sillouette. some nice cheap camo from walmart will even get you by

thanks guys, i hope i didnt start anything with the head shot thing, i was just wondering. figured that if an arrow can go through a sholderblade and go the rest of the way through the deer, it would be able to dispatch one if shot in the head. as i said, I AM NOT GOING TO BE TAKING HEADSHOTS! just wanted to make that clear. thanks again, brian.
