Anybody have cameras for their bows and if so what kind and what should I look for in buying one?
My buddy is into videoing hunts and I thought it would be cool for another angle on the stalks and shots.

i've tried ataching cams to my bow with poor results.one major reason is that with good shooting form, your bow should fall forward after you release. If your worried about your camera it's going toaffect your form.I would recomen a het cam,or video glasses.they are much more stable, and won't affect your CRITICAL shot placement.

I've thought about rigging a way to put my phone on the bow too. I'd love to do more video, but right now, I have enough trouble getting the shot off without worrying about a camera! That said, my main interest at this point is recording enough to determine shot placement when I do shoot.

Hmmm, I think I still have that one case for my phone around the house somewhere.... Now I have another project!

How did you attach the Galaxy to your bow? That is the same phone that I have and I'd like to do the same.

... and I will add that uploading it to photobucket made it choppy, the original video is not at all.

Sorry but I have to disagree proper form has nothing to do with your bow falling forward if it's balanced properly your bow should not move forward or backward after you release an arrow.

How many pros do you see where after shooting at a target the bow rocks forward?

I am using the midland cam this year and have heard both good and bad about it so I'll let you know how it works out.
I have heard that the epic cam line is not that great either.

Clee this is what it looks like.

    2 things

    1. the metal is covered in camo now
    2. If you make one like this mount it going off to the right. Way easier to use with the right hand unless you shoot left handed.

My monster bow falls away pretty fast. Not sure you see the shot.

Thanks a lot. I'm going to try and make this work for me. And you guessed it, I shoot left handed. I use an otterbox for mine now and it came with a carrying case with a belt clip. I never use it so I might try and modify it to make it work for my bow. If I'm successful, I'll post pics.

Try the gopro, i have it on bow and works great. You can order the LCD and watch the vid after the shot. It is HD and the
quality of the video is great. I use for mountain biking, hiking, anything you can think of. Check out the web site and this gives you a great idea of the uses.
