I dont want my camera arm and fluid head getting weathered spent to much money for that. Yes treestands stay out. Right now i have just been wrapping my my dslr camera and and my hfg 20 in towels then putting in my bag and the shotgun mic in there also. then strapping my camera arm to my pack
I hunt two properties with 15 stands between the two and run a climber at times on a third property. Leaving an arm out isn't an option based on that alone. But I agree with Nick, I'm not leaving a $300 arm with a $150 head out in the weather.
Yeah im in your boat with the other aspect, dont think I have sat the same stand twice in a day or weekend. These are one of those products that if you take care of them they will last you forever. If I had one stand and i knew i would be back there in the afternoon then sure yeah i would leave it out but not over night with the dew and frost
Buy a camo poncho and make a sleeve. You'll spend maybe $10. Just use a sleeve to cover the camera arm and use super glue on the outter end and use a thick rubber band to secure it around the base plate. You can also use the other pieces of the poncho to make a sleeve for your camera for when it rains.
I still feel like moisture will get in there from a morning dew or what not. But since I move around so much from stand to stand its not really a hassel any more to set it up every time
I stopped by Sams Club today and found this Case Logic backpack for $59. I have my XA10, dslr, extra lens, handycam, boom mic, laptop and a ton of accessories in it. So far I like it especially for the price! Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk 2
Any one know if anything new came out for the new season? If not I thinking im going to go with the lowpro flipside 400 really like the way DEC has things set up. Just would be nice to get something in camo since its mainly for hunting. Trevor did you end up getting this pack?
