I have a Canon Vixia camcorder and I am looking to buy a tripod for it by the spring to film my turkey hunt. I was just wondering what you guys thought was a good tripod?

Really any tripod will work. The important part is the head. If you are wanting to get quality footage a nice fluid head is what you need, it helps to have a nice tripod but if you put a fluid head on any tripod it will do just fine

I decided to spend some money on mine and ended up getting the Sunpak Pro 423PX. Think I spend about $170 on it. I wanted a tripod that was super lightweight. It is all carbon fiber. Very easy and quick to setup and take down. I got it from Best Buy and have been very happy with it. It did come with a grip head that I just removed and put my 701Hdv on instead but I had a use for the grip so it worked out well.

Another good tripod that's a little heavier that I have is a Manfrotto 755XB, the thing that I love about it is you can level it without having to adjust the legs up and down, it has a leveling ball so you can adjust the head without moving anything else. Makes setting up for turkey hunting really nice.
