This guy just wanted to see what he'd look like as a Rob Buck:D

This one I am wondering about the buck in the background, he seems to be the biggest I have so far.

Don't give up,I was skunked last year on nice bucks big time, but this year has been way better. You never know when one will show his face, especially with the fall getting close.. Some bucks that don't hang out in the area in the summer will start cruising through. Hopefully mine don't all disperse ....

I bet you get a mature buck or two on the cams right before October gets here. Good luck to ya, I know how it feels.. But those are some great pictures anyway, and good prospect bucks for sure.

Well Gary, you've done better than me with cam! I did glass a good one, but I got nothing but doe and fawns in pics! Usually I get a lot of buck pics but not this year!

Gary I'm in the same boat. I put my camera out 3 weeks ago and the best buck I have so far is a 2 yr old 8 pt. I saw a couple really nice bucks while glassing in early July but they have been feeding at a neighbors property lately :(

Same here... I finally got a possible shooter but I can only see one side in the picture which makes it all the more decieving, so I'm hoping for more pics of him but I'm also hoping he walks in front of me and gives me the chance to decide then

Germ, I haven't had squat for Mature bucks on my cameras either. I have had a few pictures of some really nice does. My best scouting came the other night when I went to retrieve some photos from my camera. I noticed some deer feeding in an alfalfa field about a half mile away. One of them was a pretty nice eight, not huge but still the best buck I've seen in West Michigan so far this year. I really hope my trail camera can capture a good one during the season.

I've been running 4 cameras for years and I still rarely get a pic of a mature deer. I mostly get 1.5's and 2.5's.... The obvious answer is there are just a lot less mature deer out there, but I also think they avoid the camera. I have almost never gotten a picture of the same mature buck from the same camera location. They know the camera is there and simply won't tolerate it.

I have found salt licks are the best place to get pics of mature bucks, before the velvet comes off.

Now you know where all of the young ones are running. Go put those cameras where you won't get as many pics, but they'll be a whole lot more interesting.;)

The way I see it....You had some huge trophy bucks on your property, they like isolation and peace, but going out and disturbing their privacy by setting the trail cams, along with the cam flash they have witnessed on other deer, caused them to flee to your neighbors land where he doesn't use trail cams and isn't out walking around and spooking deer. :D Good luck with your season!!

Some very nice young bucks. I lightened the last photo and it looks like the buck in the background is a lot the others you have pics of. I could very well be one of them. Looks like a short tined 7 or 8 pt.
