Hey everyone just joined bh.com. I'm new to hunting this is just my 2nd year and I'm wondering what everyone's opinions are on using calls throughout the season. Thanks, mrazor1 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
That's how I kill most of my bucks. I use real antlers, grunt tubes and the can call. I have had success with all of them. I call quite a bit when the time is right. If your deer get a lot of pressure it may not work well though.
Thanks I appreciate it. I'll try experimenting around and see if I can pattern some things out. Good luck this season! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
I only call once i can see the buck and see what his demeanor and age are. From there i come up with a plan to see what will be most effective to call him in. I bought the bone collector buck collector call a few years back. It has the grunt, bleat, and snort wheeze all at the touch of a finger and have called in alot more bucks after purchasing that call. Also if you have time and feel like it check out rod whites whitetail calling videos on youtube. Thats how I learned. Good luck man
Rattling has never worked well in my area. Grunt tubes and the can call are as close to fool proof during the right time as I have ever seen. If I can get a buck to come in on the tube, I'll hit the can and if it's that time of year...he's almost running to me.
