The next thing I'm going to be asking help for, is Microsoft excel, I've never really used it, but it's a major part of this program apparently, even though it's not written down anywhere in the course description. He started going over them last week, absolute references, entering all kinds of formulas, and conversions. Some of the symbols we had to use I couldn't even find them on the keyboard.... Excel is one of the most handy programs out there! From simply tracking and filtering data to entering complex equations and formulas in a single cell that if printed out could fill and entire page.
I'm embarrassed to say I don't know it overly well. I never really had to use it much other than creating spreadsheets with simple formulas. Someone in my field should not be saying that Maybe now is time to brush up on my skills.
Keep it up Joe! I'm a couple semesters ahead of you, Junior in EE at NCSU, and work full time in my field so I fully understand the pain you're getting ready to endure . If the rest of these geeks aren't on to help, shoot me a PM, it'll buzz my phone and I can usually answer in a timely manner. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ouch, Pretty harsh comments from a guy that went to school for 4 years to learn how to make water run down hill
Better than learning to to connect the plus to the red and the black to the - Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Funny you say that right now. I'm sitting here right now trying to size pvc pipe for a water application. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That was just the first half the of first class in Circuits 1, not 4 whole years! My brother is an environmental PE, and I still give him crap for being a civil... EE is the way to go man! Where else can you learn triple integrations, prove Gauss's Law, use all the letters of both greek and english alphabets, and spend 2 weeks on the same problem?
I took statics, and that has nothing on Electromagnetics and Signals and Systems. Hydraulics, Dynamics, and Ground Water Modeling however I know nothing about and I have heard they are lots of fun
Ground water stuff is more geotechnical. I think fluid dynamics is one of the most interesting nerdy subjects out there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah, for us the software guys and the master's track people were the nerds... I managed to get my degree in three years and that was too much time in school I thought...
