Calif. Bill Would Allow Transgender Students To Have Equal Access To School Programs, Facilities « CBS Los Angeles 10News - Transgender bill passes State Assembly; opponents say measure could hurt children in San Diego - 10News.com - News So a dude can play on the girls team just because he thinks he is a girl. A dude can go into the girls locker room and shower with the girls? The girl can go into the boys rest room and take a dump? Wow, why didn't this exist when I was in high school? How would you feel if you had a 14 year old daughter and you knew a couple of boys were sharing a locker room with them? It would also give them access to bathrooms and locker rooms that match the sex they identify with. Shear Avery from Los Angeles was born male, but thinks of himself as female. “I just consider myself a female at heart,” he told KCAL9’s Andrea Fujii. “But I’m very happy with the body I was blessed to be born with.” Avery will be a high school sophomore in the fall and hopes to play on the girls’ basketball team. Avery, who was attacked in the boys’ bathroom, also said using female facilities is a safety issue. “It’s very traumatizing and that’s led to me really fearing using public restrooms,” he said. New legislation would bring clarity to the situation. Under AB 1266, schools would be required to provide transgender students with full access to facilities and activities in conformance with the gender that they feel identifies them. This won't necessarily be easy; there undoubtedly will be people who strenuously object to having someone who is physically of the opposite sex sharing locker rooms and showers; others will certainly argue that if children with the physical attributes of boys are allowed to play on girls' sports teams, it will be unfair. Obviously, these are uncomfortable questions for some students and parents. But discomfort is not a valid reason to allow discrimination, just as it would not have been acceptable for schools to ban gay or lesbian students from the bathrooms of their respective genders 30 years ago. I'm speechless. Has the United States of America gone completely mad?
Doing good has no end. All of these stupid *** politicians need to loose their jobs. Having someone with a penis showering in a high school girls locker room is just not right. NO MATTER HOW YOU TRY TO SPIN IT.
But lets say what we're all thinking. When we were in high school we'd act gender confused just to walk in on girls showering or changing in the lockers. How many girls are going to say " forget playing a sport. I'm not going to subject myself to that". Only in Cali
They should just go to a tri-designation system with 3 restrooms for each: Boys; Girls; and Gay/Lesbian/Tranny it's ridiculous anyway(even what I proposed here) - but yah that's a great idea, to put a guy in the girls locker room because he identifies with them. Wtf
I am still freaked out, I don't have an answer to this one. Trying to figure out what I would do if I had a junk and a whoowho. Honestly can you go in any locker room?
What's next, Let me guess??? Beastiality will be legal and the norm in 10yrs. We shouldn't complain because we've led sheltered lives and were narrow minded? And now any kid at any age is allowed to take a "morning after" pill with out parents consent? There is also a new "all inclusive" scout troop I read in the paper this weekend. This is not the country we know.
No. I was thinking the same but looked it up. You can say your a woman trapped in a mans body so you can label yourself transgendered. http://i.word.com/idictionary/transgender There might be lots of "transgendered" boys in school in California now. It appears it could have its benefits.:D sent from my samsung note 2
This is correct. The bill isn't for 13 year olds that already had a sex change (wow that's just scary to type) it's for boys or girls that are confused and feel that they'd associate better with the opposite sex or fit in better. No matter how you put it, the whole thing is completely asinine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk www.skyangler.com
Seriously, how long would it take if the rest of the country headed out there with shovels and just dug until California slipped off into the ocean? That state does not even seem to belong to the same planet.
