I'm a huge fan of Stone Brewing, love their Levitation. I also like our local beers from Two Brothers. A couple of buddies from the high school days started a site that reviews Craft Beers. Andy and Jason both were afraid to drink beer in High School but grew into their beer snobbishness. Here is their site, they get a ton of free beer.

Our brew club does shoot outs all the time with different beers. We'll grab a few off the shelf, and a few home brewer's beer and do a blind tasting. For the past three years Sam Adams has been the winner in the octoberfest comp. It's about as good as it gets when it comes to octoberfest style beer. I have a couple six packs of that in the fridge.

Another beer I like this time of year, that most of you won't get, is pumpkin beer. You can get "pumpkin" beer, but most is not made with pumpkin. Dogfish head generally makes a good pumpkin, but we don't get dogfish head here (Their 90 min IPA is one of my favorite beers of all time). Our local brewery (O'fallon) makes their pumpkin beer with libby's. My brother also makes it, and it's phenominal. Right now, I have an oatmeal stout and a porter on tap. Their also delicious. Yes, I have a kegorator, and have at least 20gal of beer at any given time. Mmmm... beer

I could name about 50 breweries that I really like - unfortunately, most of you would only know a couple, if any. :)

Flying Dog Raging *****...a Belgian Style India Pale Ale...alright, but not great.

Avery Brewery White Rascal Belgian Style White Ale...pretty good. Probably my 2nd favorite.

If you can find it try the Stone Brewing Levitation and Arrogant Bastard. They will have a bite to them but they kick arse.
