I have a Z7Xtreme that I have had less than a year. There is a place on the cable that has worn through the outer covering ( actually it is gone ) for about one inch. Does this mean I need some new cables or can it be repaired ? I do shoot it quite a bit ( 15 /25 shots a day )

I am not going to bash the cables as it might have been something I caused. I always try to be real careful with the bow but I don't carry it in a hard case.

Without pictures it's hard to diagnose the problem but I would take it to a pro shot right away. I assume your referring to the buss cable as this cable usually wears fast on alot of bow.

Sounds like the serving on the buss cable where the cable rolls over the cam has worn through or broke or separated. If this is true then there are two things you can do. Replace the cable entirely, or have it reserved. If it isnt too bad and there isnt any broken strands underneath then I would suggest just re-serving it and then maybe next year get a set of good custom strings. When/if you gave it reserved make sure they use Halo serving. Mathews bows are known for being VERY hard on cables.
